Our state-of-the-art facility handles a wide range of steel, up to 80,000 lb. coils and 5/8" thick and our cut-to-length leveling line turns out sheets to 84" wide by 70' long.

ADVANTAGE
MSP was set up by guys who have worked in the steel industry their whole lives and put down local roots to build their dream. We're not a division of a multinational firm or a new gambit by some private equity fund. We're in steel processing because it's what we know, what we love and what we're really good at
OUR MISSION
Our goal was to grow MSP to where our capacity was reached so we would have to expand within two years. That happened because we offered value in toll processing.
The last item often trips up companies who are not “problem solvers” at heart. MSP leaders understand the need to look beyond the customers’ order sheet to investigate how they use their steel, what their inventory turns are, their most frequent causes of rejects, etc. Using that knowledge, we’ll devise a new program for JIT inventory and logistics, for first stage fabrication of parts, for special protective treatment or packaging of lifts or coils.
It’s what you do when you’re a problem solver at heart and you love the steel business.
WHERE WE WORK
Mississippi Steel Processing’s facility is 300,000 ft2, including 84,000 ft2 master coil storage, 134,000 ft2 finished goodsstorage and 7200
ft2 of office space. A major expansion in 2014 expanded our original 2010 facility by 67% and also added significant new processing capacity
to shorten lead times and handle heavier gauge material. Our facility also features:
- Indoor Rail Spur That Accommodates 5 Cars
- 14 Truck Bays And 2 Covered Truck Tarping Areas
- Paved Trailer Staging Area That Accommodates 120 Trucks
- 13 Overhead Cranes Including Four 50-ton Cranes For Master Coils
Our Processing Equipment Consists Of:
- 3 Sliting Lines That Span 0.060″ To 0.625″ Thick And Up To 76″ Wide
- A Slit Coil Packaging Line For Coils Up To 15,000 Lbs.
